Confirmed in God’s Name and Love

Today’s author is Prince of Peace member Deb Cordes
On Sunday, four confirmands were confirmed in God’s love and life again. My heart was filled with joy as I watched them. My thoughts turned to the song we sang. God, We Gather As Your People. It’s worth reading the words once more.
(Verse 2)
“Oh, we sing for all the children, that one day they be free; and we sing for generations yet to be.
That they never have a reason to doubt that they are blest. May they, in your love, find rest.
Oh, may our hearts and minds be opened, fling the church doors open wide.
May there be room enough for everyone inside.
For in God there is a welcome, in God we all belong.
May that welcome be our song”.

We are created to be disciples, ones who follow and encourage others onto the same path.
