Congregation President Deb Cordes is excited to welcome Pastor Betsy Hoium as our new Associate Pastor. Pastor Hoium’s letter to the congregation is attached. A service of installation will be held Sunday, October 28, with a time of fellowship to follow.
Flu Shots will be offered at Prince of Peace Church Sunday, Nov. 4, 9-11 a.m., by MN Visiting Nurses Assoc. (MVNA)/Hennepin Co Health Center. High Doses (for adults 65 years and older) will be available. Your Health Insurance will be billed by MVNA. Simply bring your Insurance information.

Much of our efforts at Prince of Peace over the last six months have involved moving our staffing configuration from concept to reality. The daily work of ministry will soon be shared with a number of others, freeing me to live more fully into the call that I was given here to Prince of Peace. I’m excited for these changes to finally take shape and anticipate a busy fall for all of our shared ministries.
Adult Forum in September hosts speakers on the effects of incarceration on society; on immigration and asylum law, and covenant theology. Meet at 9:40 a.m., Sundays in the reception room for the discussions.
Summer is quickly coming to a close! As the youth are winding down summer, I look forward to the opportunities to engage with them on a more consistent basis. This fall we will dive right into Wednesday night programming starting September 5th, and Sunday morning programs which really won’t look “normal” until the end of September.
