Prince of Peace received reports from the Bega kwa Bega team in Iringa, Tanzania, on their visits to the secondary schools and the students that we support through scholarships.
It all started with a cardboard box, some paint, and the smiles from some beautiful kids serving lemonade. God’s people responding to God’s vision to care for our neighbors in need.
Another Holy Hammers Habitat house is completed after many volunteer hours at the St. Paul site. Prince of Peace volunteers work with volunteers from 15 other churches which make up the Holy Hammers group. Thank you to all.
Our Kenyan missionaries Julia & Vincent Leiyoole are serving the Northern Kenyan area during May’s torrential rains. They took relief supplies to Arsim, Kenya, where their mission station is located. They provided food, clothing, and much more including funds to purchase 23 goats. This is a message shared by Anne and Gus Haugan.
“Millions of Trees” is a project of Bega Kwa Bega, the partnership between churches in Iringa, Tanzania and St. Paul, to reforest the Iringa area. BKB planted its millionth seedling in January 2016 with a survival rate at over 95%. Harvesting trees begins soon and they need to increase the number of new seedlings.
