Representatives of Prince of Peace Church will be traveling to visit our brothers and sisters in Bomalang’ombe, Tanzania, in June, 2019. They will worship, build relationships and see the good work that God is doing through our partnership. Here is information on how you can help prepare for the trip.
The May Women’s Bible study will be “From Generation to Generation: A Two-Way Blessing.” Scripture is from Genesis, Exodus, Luke and John. How does one generation work with another – now and in biblical times? What values have we learned from our own mother’s and grandmother’s stories? See more information about the Circle Meetings.
The Older Kids’ program will be with “Amy and Adams–a Married Couple Duo,” performing a blend of folk rock, Tin Pan Alley, and bluegrass. The couple plays guitar, ukulele, and mandolin. Make your reservation by May 6 for Thursday, May 9.
Available for any member of the Prince of Peace Church community, Micro-grants are given as part Prince of Peace’s Capitol Campaigns. A grant may be applied for any project that furthers Prince of Peace’s mission out in the community. There is an estimated $15,000 in grant monies available in this next round of funding. Deadline has been extended to Tuesday, May 6.
The Older Kids’ program April 11th is “85 Years of Memories of a Small Town Boy.” Presenter John Sweeney shows images and video segments that will rekindle memories of the past such as one-room schoolhouses, radio shows, music and movies. Social hour begins at 11:30, luncheon at noon, with the program following.
The April women’s bible study will be “Friends for Life in Christ.” It is the last of the series on The Gospel of John: meetings with Jesus. This month we will study John 20 and 21, meeting the Risen Christ through his appearances with Mary Magdalene, Thomas, and Peter, the Beloved Disciple.
