One of my best friends in college was Steven. He was loving, creative, funny, and SMART. His one dream was to be a teacher. He wanted to teach elementary school. There weren’t many male teachers then or now. We hung out together all the time. I considered him my brother from another mother.

In the 4th chapter of Revelation, we read of John’s vision of the heavenly throne room. Day and night, the four living creatures sing praises to the Lord God Almighty who sits on the throne and the twenty-four elders, falling down before the Lord, join in the celestial song.

I do not understand Revelations…it’s strange. Parts of its descriptions remind me of Avatar creatures or the bar scene from Star Wars or the Indiana Jones scene of creatures flowing from the opening of the Lost Ark. BUT what strikes me is the imagination Revelations kindles in my brain. It allows the reader (in my mind) to explore possibility in the vivid depictions of the writers.
