2026 Lenten Offering

by Caryn Josephson | Apr 1, 2026 | Church News, Generosity, Stewardship, Worship

During each week of Lent and Holy Week we highlight different ministries that we support with our prayers and offerings.  During Holy Week, please lift up these important ministries in your prayers.  If you wish to support any or all of these organizations with your financial gifts, you can drop off donations at church or give online at our website.  If you’d like to have your donation split equally among the ministries please mark that on your donation.

Holy Hammers/ TC Habitat for Humanity | Ash Wednesday

For over 20 years, Prince of Peace has been one of the “Holy Hammers,” a coalition of north-suburban churches that commit to building a house for TC Habitat for Humanity each construction season.

St Paul Area Synod Immigrant Support fund | Lent Week 1

The Saint Paul Area Synod is committed to walking with our immigrant neighbors through this terrible time of crisis. The Immigrant Support Fund goes directly to families connected with the synod’s ethnic-specific congregations. Donations to this fund support food relief, rent assistance, and legal fees when appropriate. In addition to providing financial help, we are committed to ensuring our siblings have access to the support they need in ways that reduce their risk of danger.

Friends of Huruma | Lent Week 2

The Huruma Centre is a ministry of the Iringa Diocese in Tanzania and provides a safe home, nurture, nutrition and education for children who, for a variety of reasons, have no family or others to care for them. Friends of Huruma helps provide care for the children of the Huruma Centre through mutual relationship, prayer, financial support, and programs that enrich the lives of the children.

Arrive Ministries | Lent Week 3

Arrive Ministries is a refugee resettlement agency providing essential services and practical assistance to refugees and immigrants to advance self-sufficiency. They mobilize volunteers, in partnership with local churches, to extend love and friendship to our new neighbors to promote thriving in a new homeland.

Lutheran Disaster Response | Lent Week 4

Lutheran Disaster Response shares God’s hope, healing and renewal with people whose lives have been disrupted by disasters in the United States and around the world. When the dust settles and the headlines change, we stay to provide ongoing assistance to those in need.

Angel Fund | Lent Week 5

Keystone is the food shelf that serves Roseville and surrounding areas. Keystone also acts as the clearinghouse for the Angel Fund. This fund is supported by the churches in Roseville and acts as a safety net for families experiencing economic hardship who are unable to get assistance elsewhere. Social workers assisting these families are able to grant funds for rent or utilities or medical bills or other unexpected expenses, helping people to get or retain their housing.

Pastor’s Discretionary Fund – Holy Week & Easter Tithe

Rental assistance for a family sheltering from ICE; a gas card for a single mom trying to make it to work; help with a security deposit in order to move into a safer apartment; a gift card for a dad buying a Christmas present for his child; grocery money to feed a family until the new benefits start flowing. These are all recent examples of the ways our staff is able to respond to those who come to our doors looking for help with the resources available through our Pastor’s Discretionary Support Fund.

Minnesota Food Share Month – March through April 6

In addition, March is Minnesota Food Share Month. You can participate in a number of ways: donating food or financially.
