The Call to Do Something
At the start of Jesus’ ministry, the story of God takes a profound turn. In Luke’s Gospel, we see how God’s call echoes through the wilderness, into the lives of fishermen, and among ordinary people longing for hope.

On Sunday, Jan. 26, we’ll gather to celebrate an important milestone in the life of our congregation: the two-year anniversary of becoming a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) church. On this special day, we will give thanks for the ways we have been living into our public commitment to welcome, affirm, and advocate for LGBTQIA+ people and all who have been excluded or marginalized.
Mission Possible: Aligning Vision with Action
What does it mean to live with purpose? This Sunday Forum will explore the mission statements that shape our lives and communities, including Jesus’ declaration in Luke 4:14-30, Martin Luther King, Jr.’s prophetic vision of justice, and our congregation’s mission to be the church God has imagined. Through discussion, we’ll uncover how these missions intersect, challenge, and inspire us to build the church and love the world.
