Celebrating Charter Members on April 15

Celebrating Charter Members on April 15

On Sunday, April 15th we will commemorate the conclusion of our 60th anniversary year with “Charter Member” Sunday. St. Paul Area Synod Bishop Patricia Lull will be our guest preacher during both of our regularly scheduled worship services. Any Charter Members (whether currently on the roster or not) who can join us this morning will help to make this occasion even more special. This opportunity to be reminded of and to celebrate those who first gathered in this place will inspire all of us who now follow in their footsteps.

Pastor Peter: “Are these burdens too great?”

Pastor Peter: “Are these burdens too great?”

I’d like my attention to be anywhere else but on these big and awful things populating the news cycles. I’m especially anxious to get through these forty days of Lent. There is good news though – God is aware of our troubles and God has a limitless capacity to carry more weight on our behalf.

From Milt: “I am…” in the Season of Lent

Seems simple enough; we all have gifts to use, to proclaim Christ’s love to the world. ….In looking at the “I am” statements we’re studying this Lenten season, my biggest question for myself and all of us is “am I?”. Am I leading my life Christ-like as a follower of the Vine, Bread of Life, Light for the World, Door, Good Shepherd and Resurrection? What does it mean for each of us to be a follower of the “I am”?
