The congregation recently voted to accept the report and recommendations of the Mission Staffing Exploration Team. The proposed staffing configuration calls for the immediate addition of two pastoral positions. We are looking for members to serve on both search committees.
This is the summary description of the Vision and Staffing Configuration proposed by the MSET after six months of evaluation, listening and discernment. The contents of this report and the underlying work were received and accepted by a vote of the congregation on January 28, 2018.

The scripture text for February is Luke 3:13 – 17 and the study question is “Does the Bible often mean something different to African-Americans than it does to Hispanic Americans or to European Americans? – to women than men . . . to Lutherans than Baptists or to Roman Catholics?”
Telling the Creation Story helps to model stewardship. God has abundantly blessed us with this earth on which to live. As “stewards” of creation, it is our job to respect the earth and take care of it, as it is God’s to begin with. Children and youth often understand this analogy well, as they are already exposed to the concepts of caring for creation. However, there are many other ways to teach and model stewardship through the offering of money, time, prayer, and worship — just to name a few.
