We pray, as Jesus taught us, for God’s will to be done on earth, as in heaven. God has assigned us to a place of privilege and responsibility. But if we are truly to be God’s hands at work caring for creation, we seemed to be falling short. This terrestrial home of ours is changing in some truly profound and ever-increasing ways. And we seem to be the problem.
It is a bittersweet responsibility that I am writing to inform you Pastor Ruth Sorenson-Prokosch is resigning her call with Prince of Peace. I commend her letter to you (below) as it describes the gratitude we all share in her ministry among us these past three years.

The Smart Team and Worship Planning Leaders met recently to review our status and consider updated guidance from the CDC and State of Minnesota regarding continuing safety precautions related to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic. The teams acknowledged both the hopefulness attached to increasing access to vaccinations and but also the uncertain impact of increased virus variant spread.

To keep our community connected and maintain a vibrant worship life, we have made some significant investments into our sound and video technology over the past year. Now that we’re preparing for the return to in-person worship in our sanctuary we need help from our community to continuing using these powerful tools for the benefit an even larger pool of participants. But we can’t do this without more help.
