WOW! Once again, we’ve experienced how much Prince of Peace values generosity through the donations to the different causes we have lifted up during Lent. We are so grateful for all the ways in which our members support the ministry we share, whether here at Prince of Peace, in our local community, or throughout the world.
As of Easter Sunday, we have raised the following:
- Ash Wednesday (Huruma Children’s Center in Iringa Tanzania) – $2,533.75
- Lent Week 1 (Holy Hammers / Habitat for Humanity) – $2,268.75
- Lent Week 2 (Lutheran Disaster Response – Ukraine and Holy Land) – $2,383.75
- Lent Week 3 (EveryMeal supporting Central Park Elementary) – $2,412.75
- Lent Week 4 (Bega Kwa Bega ‘PikiPiki’ fund – motorbikes to help Pastors in Iringa Tanzania spread the gospel) – $2,173.75
- Lent Week 5 (Coated in Love – annual event that provides coats and services to the Homeless) – $2,268.75
- Holy Week (Pastor’s Discretionary Fund to support needs in the community) – $2,628.75
- Youth Trips – upcoming Youth Gathering in New Orleans
- Soup Suppers – $1,986.50
- Palm Sunday / Pancake Breakfast – $2,817.75
- Easter (10% will go to Pastor’s Discretionary Fund) – $1,064
- Food Shelf – $1,928.58
