Our denominational partners with the ELCA are committed to the common good – not for the good of Christians first – and to working with and learning from others. The pastoral leadership and the Adult Education Committee with Prince of Peace continue to be concerned about the rising threat of Christian nationalism and wish to encourage all those connected with this community of faith to become familiarized with this issue.
Recently, the ELCA published a primer which we believe can be helpful. An overview of Christian nationalism from a Lutheran perspective is presented in this resource with background and discussion starters to seed conversations as we face this distortion of our faith and divisive force in our country.
