On Monday, April 8, a crew will be onsite removing a portion of the old cracked asphalt on the south property. This is the area that comprises the courtyard for the current configuration of the tiny home that comprise our Sacred Settlement. The driveway and lower parking pad will be left in place at this time.

As a part of this project, black dirt will be delivered to the PoP parking lot. This dirt will be used to level the area around the PoP Sacred Settlement and surrounding area. Limestone gravel, currently under the asphalt, will be saved and available for future projects.

The Settlement Stewardship Team has forwarded a proposal to the Congregation Council to create some additional space for gardening in this area as well as a more inviting and functional outdoor gathering space for our community. This asphalt removal project should ensure that the objectives of this site renovation proposal are more easily met.
