Erika Warkentien has agreed to assume a staff position as Interim Children & Family Ministry Assistant. At the recommendation of our Children, Youth & Family Ministry Team, the Personnel Committee and Congregation Council recently authorized the creation of a staff position to meet some of the on-going needs while the search continues for a permanent staff leader for Children & Family Ministry. Already volunteering her efforts to support our CYF ministry, Erika graciously accepted this interim role, enabling our on-going efforts to provide programing for children and families.
The responsibilities of this interim role are primarily centered around Sunday morning worship, including Faith Rocks, the Prayground, and Creation Station. Erika will also continue supporting our Youth Director Julene Hannesh with God Rocks (middle-school) and PoP Rocks (high-school), plus any other programming for PoP Families. As the Interim C&F Assistant, Erika coordinates the efforts of the parents and youth that comprise CYF Ministry Team.
It is anticipated that this interim role will serve until the search for a permanent staff leader for Family Fun & Faith Formation concludes.
