Council members will review and answer questions about proposed amendments to our constitution and bylaws.  These proposed amendments will be voted on at our congregational meeting on January 28.

The main effect of the proposed changes would be to pave the way for streamlining our structures.  This was the goal of the “Liberating Structures” initiative that Prince of Peace participated in over the past two and a half years.   Under the new bylaws, our committees would be organized under three broad areas, replacing the six areas in our old structure. Our congregation council would further define our committee structure in our continuing resolutions.

The forum will also look at how our current committees and project teams might be reconfigured under the new structure.  An example is the Campus Planning Task Force, which was originally drawn from three existing committees. Now that the term of the task force has ended, how should our committees be configured to continue that work?
