As we prepare to mark the occasion of our one-year anniversary of making a commitment to being a “Reconciling in Christ” congregation, we want to lift up a partnering organization that is aligned with the aspirations as identified in Prince of Peace’s Statement of Welcome.

The Naming Project

The mission of The Naming Project is to create places of safety for youth of all sexual orientations and gender identities where faith is shared and healthy life-giving community is modeled.

The goal of The Naming Project is to provide a safe and sacred space where youth of all sexual orientations and gender identities are named and claimed by a loving God; can explore and share faith; experience healthy and life-giving community; reach out to others; and advocate for systemic change in church and society. Summer Camp Opportunity in Minnesota

The Naming Project Summer Camp is for 14-18 year-olds (8th-12th grades) of any sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, interested in discussing sexuality & gender in terms of spiritual journey & are excited to spend time with other teen campers and staff in large and small group conversation, personal quiet time as well as campfires, crafts, swimming, games, and summer camp fun in the beauty of God’s creation! We recognize the cost of camp may be prohibitive to some families—we have scholarships to secure a place for all interested youth.
