Bridging is Looking for Donations of Furniture & Household Items

Our theme for Lent is Unbound & Set Free.  What better way to feel unbound than doing some spring cleaning?  How about donating unwanted items that are a burden to you but would be a gift to a family just getting into their own housing?

Bridging is a nonprofit in the Twin Cities with two locations – one of which is right here in Roseville.  They provide furniture and household goods to people who are setting up a new household.  The majority of items are donated by individuals.  They take beds, tables and chairs, upholstered furniture, dressers and more.  In addition they need sheets and blankets, dishes, lamps, artwork and other household items.  Items can be dropped off Monday through Saturday or Bridging will pick up items for a small fee.

At this time of year Bridging’s shelves are quite bare and in need of items to provide to recipients.  Check out a video of their shelves here: https://fb.watch/bwA46O0BK7/

Prince of Peace has partnered with Bridging in several ways this past year.  An intergenerational group from PoP assembled dressers at Bridging during last summer’s Serve and Learn Week.  We have also made and donated over 30 fleece tie blankets to Bridging.
