January 28, 2022
While there is some positive news nationally that the rapid rise of case positivity for Covid-19 is beginning to wane in some regions of the country, here in MN we’re continuing to set records for new cases, especially in the metro. The good news is how those who are vaccinated continue to have better outcomes in the event of infection. The Roseville School district remains on track to return to in-person instruction on Jan. 31 and our own staff that have experienced infection and illness have returned to health. In light of these steadily shifting circumstances, leadership is making the following adjustments to our operations and safety protocols:
- The office will be open to the public 8am – 4pm on weekdays.
- The main entry vestibule remains a safe place to pick up or drop off materials and correspondence.
- Email, text and phone calls continue to be preferred communications streams.
- Sundays through February 27:
- Worship will continue to be available in-person but at 8:30am only. There will be no 10:30am in-person worship. Online viewing via live-stream or posted recordings on our YouTube channel are available.
- Sunday Forum will continue to gather exclusively on Zoom (beginning at 9:45am).
- Foundations & Youth programming will be online.
- In-person PoP Kids Sunday School remains paused. At-home materials are available online.
- Music leadership remains limited to solos or small ensembles.
- The suspension of food and beverage service will continue.
- Ministry Teams may gather in-person but should remain masked and employ added social distancing while indoors.
As we move forward through February we are hopeful that the public health landscape will continue to improve and that we’ll be able to ‘relax’ some of these protocols, enabling more and more in-person ministry to occur. We also remain hopeful that the coming season of Lent (beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 2) will feature the additional Wednesday worship experiences we have been without for almost two years. Updates will be communicated via email and on our website.
As previously stated, we continue to place our hope and trust in God that we will navigate these on-going challenges, letting our love for our neighbors continue to guide our steps. May God keep us safe from any additional harm.
