Saturday, October 16 was a bright sunny day at Camp Wapo in Amery, Wisconsin. Twenty people from Prince of Peace gathered to reconnect with one another and be renewed by time away. Because of Covid, the retreat had a new format. A day at Camp Wapo on Saturday and a hike on Sunday.
Youth through retired people gathered at camp on Saturday to get to know one another and renew friendships. The day included a scavenger hunt game, devotion time, lots of Gaga Ball, group activities, food and free time. The day culminated with a bonfire on the beach where we roasted s’mores and had campfire worship. We also got to see the progress being made on the expanded dining center. On Sunday, 30 people from Prince of Peace gathered at Tamarack Nature Center. It was a great time to enjoy a sunny October afternoon and connect with friends from PoP.
