This past September, on God’s Work – Our Hands Sunday, children and youth of Prince of Peace operated a lemonade stand that helped to raise funds for Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS). LSS is one of our partners in ministry and a vital link in helping us live out our calling to do God’s work in the world. With the funds raised that day combined with a contribution from the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund, we sent $200 to support the work of LSS. We recently received a thank you…
Dear Friends from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church,
It happens every day in more than 300 communities across Minnesota. When a child is adopted; when a young person is safe; when a family is supported, when a stranger is welcomed; when a warm meal is shared. These acts of service are an expression of god’s love for all people – and your generosity makes it possible.
On behalf of Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota and those we serve, thank you for your recent gift. For the past 154 years, congregations like yours have been essential partners in the mission of LSS, helping us grow from a church basement near Red Wing to offer services in all 87 counties in our state.
Once again, thank you for your generous gift! Your support affirms our vision that all people have the opportunity to live and work in community with full and abundant lives.
