Join any of our four women’s bible study circles for spiritual growth, as well as being a part of a group which encourages and supports each other. In December each women’s bible study circle is planning their own event. The theme “Fear not, God is at work beyond our ability to imagine.” All women are invited to participate. Go Christmas Caroling at Roseville Area Care Centers in December with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. We invite all to gather for caroling at the centers listed at the dates and times on the website. We’ll bring the song sheets and you can take a break from shopping and eating to spread Christmas cheer through Roseville. You can contact Peter Haugan for more info.
Our new Faith Formation format includes a gathering time activity for all ages, followed by song and story, led by one of the pastors. Then preschoolers have more music, craft and game time while the elementary students have music with Children’s Music Director Melissa Burke and then an activity relating to the story that may be a game, art, scavenger hunt or other activity.
Confirmation looks different this year! 7th and 8th graders meet for a 4-hour “mini retreat” one Sunday afternoon a month with Pastors Betsy and Peter and Cori our youth director. This more intensive time together includes a variety of activities and learning techniques – storytelling, digging into the Bible, drawing, skits, games, discussion time, highs and lows, quiet reflection, discussion, and sharing a meal together. Students are focusing on the biblical narrative with the goal of being able to “Tell our Story” on a deeper level and understand how faith applies to life.
Community Nights Have Returned! This month it’s on Friday, Dec. 14 @ 5-8 p.m. Enjoy a potluck meal and fun activities with others from our church community. Those in the Christmas Play will have a dress rehearsal and then we’ll all
watch “Charlie Brown Christmas.”
