2022 was a challenging year for our leadership. At the start of the year, COVID continued to prevent us from gathering in person. The child care center in our building closed and we learned we could not host a replacement without installing a costly sprinkler system. Many of us were exhausted from the isolation and strain of the pandemic. In the face of these challenges, we continued our efforts to find ways in which we are called to “build the church and love the world”, which is our stated mission. We listened to each other, revisited our history, and considered how our community and the world around us are changing.
Working Together
I first noticed the school bus in our south property parking lot this summer. After seeing it there for a few days, I naturally became curious. During a coffee break with our Monday Morning Crew, Pastor Peter was asked about the bus.
Jesus Was Born
When Mary Palumbo received Ruth Hagander’s Christmas letter last year, she was inspired to create some music. Working closely together, these two crafted Ruth’s lyrics together with Mary’s melodic vision for an original composition.
