Today’s author is Prince of Peace member, Andrew Hannesh.

This week is my last week at my current job, my first job out of college. It feels hard to believe that I have already spent two years there, but I know I’m ready for a change. It took a lot of consideration to decide if I was ready for another transition, but I have quickly come to realize that much of young adult life – and probably any life stage – is chock full of transitions. Finding places to live, moving to new jobs, getting married, death and sickness of family members, and joining new church congregations are just a few that I have noticed in my own life over the last several years.

It feels overwhelming to think about how much change has happened for me in the last 7 years and how dramatically different I am as a person than when I was a fresh face on the University of North Dakota campus in August, 2016. Even since graduating from college a little over two years ago, I’ve lived in 3 homes, gotten married, joined PoP, owned 4 cars, etc. And here I am, adding yet another change to the list in the form of a new job. I’d love nothing more than to say that this will be the end of the changes for a while and take some time to enjoy what I have, but life usually has its own ideas.

My hope for whoever reads this is that you take solace in the community that Prince of Peace provides. Life’s changes are overwhelming, but manageable when you are surrounded by people who care about you. I pray for comfort for you who are transitioning to some new path of life, that you know the love and support that surrounds you each and every day. God Bless.
