November 13 2022 saw the return of our Tanzanian Dinner and auction, following a 2-year COVID break. We had so many volunteers who helped with food prep, auction setup, table decorating, serving, hand washing, and clean-up. This is our annual chance to celebrate our partnership with Bomalang’ombe and Vikongwa congregations in Tanzania, and to raise funds for scholarships and other parish needs. We exceeded our goal and were able to increase the amount of scholarship support we are providing – Bwana Asifiwe! (Praise the Lord).
During COVID we have replaced travel to Tanzania with annual Zoom calls with our partners. This technology has given us the chance to strengthen our relationships and share information about the joys and challenges we each are facing. Both congregations were especially intrigued by our Tiny House project and they keep us in their prayers. They are eager for us to return to visit them and we hope to start planning our next trip soon!
