Have you ever walked down a well-worn trail when it became new to you because you are experiencing it for the first time in the moonlight or during a different season? Oftimes, such a change in perspective allows us to see things that have escaped us before. The Bible, and the stories it contains, can be like familiar trails. We walk down the trails and we hear what we’ve heard before, we see what we’ve already seen. During our Wednesdays in Lent this year, we will be listening to familiar stories from the Bible in a new way. Rather than reading from Scripture, we will be hearing the stories themselves, as told by members of Prince of Peace.
