We extend best wishes for a speedy recovery to Steve Sveom, chair of the Campus Planning Task Force, who underwent surgery on Monday. Steve reports that he is doing well and expects to be back working on task force matters soon. While Steve recovers the task force will be led by Arjun Sethi.
Mark your calendars November 19, during the Sunday Forum hour, when the task force will present the report of the HGA Community Action Design Workshop (also called a design charrette) held by HGA and BKV architects. This report includes a review of various options for developing our campus and a drawing of a preliminary campus master plan that includes an apartment building on the South lot.
At our next two meetings we will begin discussions with potential developers. Our guests will be Bill Mague (Aeon) on November 6 and Heidi Rathmann (Common Bond) on the 20th. Our goal is to better understand what it will take to develop a proposal that can be presented to the congregation, potential funding sources and zoning authorities. Both of those meetings start at 6:30pm at Prince of Peace.
