At the CPTF meeting on Monday, July 31, members did a walk around the property to note approximate area the is owned by the Church.  A simple boundary survey is planned for the near future.  In addition, we heard from John Slade, the east metro congregational coordinator for MICAH (Metropolitan Interfaith Council on Affordable Housing).  He addressed issues that affect housing, especially the growing income gap and noted that the needs are great.  He mentioned that all three projects being explored by the Task Force are needed and address different needs.

The Task Force members are forming questions that need to be addressed before meetings with the congregation scheduled for the adult forum time on September 17 and 24 and a congregational meeting on October 1.  A tentative idea of what will be considered at the congregational meeting will be formulated by the Task Force by the end of August with a congregational mailing informing the congregation.

Any questions you may have that the Task Force should consider about a Habitat for Humanity development, an Affordable Housing Apartment or an ongoing Tiny Home settlement should be submitted to Kristin at the PoP office or to me at sasveom@gmail.com.  These questions may not all be answerable right now, but are important so that we firm up the necessary information in a timely manner.  The above projects have all be discussed by the Task Force and ultimately may be presented as one option or a combination of options for our future together.  The congregation will always have the final decision.  Thanks for any input you may have.
