Day 1
Hey guys, today we started our morning off at 7 am in the church parking lot. We hopped in the vans and drove for a few hours before stopping for lunch and doing a quick get-to-know-you group activity. Then, after a few more hours in the car, we arrived at our host church (First Lutheran Church of Kearney, NE) where we had dinner and free time before devotion time. In our free time, a group of us went to the store for food while others stayed back and participated in activities like basketball. We also got to explore the church, where we found a beautiful sanctuary and a built-in gaga pit in the basement which was really cool! Then we did devotions, where we began to explore the meaning of “I am” in God’s words. Now, we are getting ready for bed early because we’re hitting the road at 7:30 am for Denver!
