The CPTF met on Monday, June 5.  James Ericksen provided information about the possibility of a solar installation.  The favored option was for a carport to be placed over the parking spaces closest to the Church on the lower parking lot.  This is to be referred to the Congregation Council which will determine a motion to present to the congregation for action, perhaps as early as the congregation meeting later in June.

The other main item on the agenda was a presentation from Chad Dipman of Habitat for Humanity.  He expressed excitement at the possibility of developing the 2 ¼ acre property with townhomes for perhaps 12 families.  Such a development would include cooperation and input from PoP regarding the design of the project and negotiation regarding the property.  The information is helpful in our study of several options under consideration for planning for ministry using the resource of our complete campus.

The third item discussed was an evaluation of the projects that have been proposed for the Task Force to consider.  A survey was used intending to narrow our focus a bit to a manageable number of considerations.  The following items will be the focus of our attention in the upcoming weeks:  Affordable Housing (discussion led by the Affordable Housing Team); Handicap Accessibility; Food Shelf Center; Sacred Settlement; Child Care and Sprinkler System for the Church facility.  The other priority items were noted above: Habitat for Humanity Town Houses and Solar Power.

The next meeting of the Task Force will be Monday, June 19 and will include a discussion of Settled and its organizational structure to better understand what a long-term relationship might mean.  The Affordable Housing Team will report to the Task Force as well.  As always, anyone is welcome to attend.

The interim use permit application for our current tiny homes was submitted to the city and will be considered on the following dates: Wednesday, July 5 by the City Planning Commission and Monday, July 24 by the City Council.
