The OKs’ will be meeting Thursday, March 14, 11:30 social hour, luncheon served at noon catered by Barb Lyman, with the program following.

Presenter Jeff Dahlman will discuss the good work done by Twin Cities – Kids in Need Resource Center, an important organization which is located right in our own community.  The Resource Center works with schools facing high poverty rates in St. Paul and Minneapolis by providing eligible teachers a shopping visit at our free store. Through the Caring Tree program, grants are awarded to social services and other community-based agencies across the state to distribute backpacks and supplies to students in need. It is also partnered with 33 other Resource Centers in the national network. Eligible students are provided with free school supplies to make it possible for them to participate in school.  There are volunteer opportunities – a good outreach activity for seniors.
