It seems that almost every way we turn, danger is either lurking in the shadows or making itself fully known. How can we respond faithfully when we - or our neighbors - are facing threat?
While we’re making progress, there is still so much that leads us to despair. The surprises keep coming and with them the threat of new dangers emerge. Even though the holiday lights have returned, the darkness maintains its grip. Change is happening too slowly and the doubts are quick to return. But God has a response for this moment and there is a delight to come. In this Advent, now more than ever, we remember what God has promised - there is hope for such a time as this.
