In the midst of the pandemic, it is hard to plan for next week let alone look ahead to summer!  Yet the staff at Camp Wapo is planning for summer camp 2021.  Many changes are being made to make camp as safe as possible – smaller numbers of campers, dividing campers into cohorts, deep cleaning between camp sessions and other measures detailed by clicking here.

PoP Camp Dates:  Prince of Peace’s week at camp for 4th grade and up is July 11-16.  SEEDS for 1-3rd grade is July 18-20.  Note that this year SEEDS are during the week rather than weekends.  This allows camp staff to do deep cleaning during each week of camp.

Registration:  Registration opens February 1.  Those who want to attend camp during PoP’s week should register by Feb. 28.  After that registration opens publicly and you may be placed on a waitlist. Click here to register for camp.

PoP Contribution for Camp:  Outdoor ministry is a vital part of growing in faith and Prince of Peace wants to invest in our youth and their faith formation.  Thus the congregation will contribute $100 per camper for week-long camp and $50 per camper for SEEDS for members who go during PoP’s week at Wapo.  Half that amount will be paid for friends of PoP members who sign up as part of the PoP group.

Not ready to commit to Camp Yet?  Registration opens to first come, first serve on March 1.  In this Covid environment, there may be camp openings closer to summer if you are not yet able to plan this far in advance.
