More than 200,000 children in Minnesota live with food insecurity. Without reliable access to food – such as free and reduced meal programs at school – the risk of hunger is very real. Our ministry partners at Every Meal (formerly Sheridan Story) work to fight hunger in our community by filling the gaps to food access that children face during weekends, summers and extended breaks. And now, in this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, Every Meal has expanded their reach get food to children and families who need it most.
This Christmas, Prince of Peace is dedicating a special offering to support the on-going work of this powerful ministry. As a community of faith, we have remained committed to making sure students and families of Central Park Elementary and Roseville Area Middle School continue to be served by Every Meal. We know the need is great now but we also want to be here to support our neighbors over the long-term. We’re lucky to have such a great partner to help us in this effort.
