Please join me in welcoming Julene Hannesh to her new position at Prince of Peace, Minister of Intergenerational Connection and Care effective June 1, 2025.
This is a hybrid position encompassing her current work with youth and the congregation care position Debbie Jorgens is leaving at the end of May. This position includes programming for middle school and high school youth as well as other CYF programming. The position includes coordination of senior ministries, congregational care and visitation.
Julene has felt drawn to expand her role at Prince of Peace and has the spiritual gifts needed for this position. Julene has a certificate in Youth Ministry from Wartburg Seminary. The scope of the certification includes training needed in senior ministry, congregation care, and youth development. Her background as a nurse will also be a blessing to those in need.
This position is a one-year interim position allowing Prince of Peace to explore what staffing should look like as part of the Mission Site Exploration process. It also provides Julene an opportunity to explore what God is calling her to.
Please extend your congratulations to her when you see her.
Blessings,
Deborah Cordes
Prince of Peace Congregation Council President
