I hope you were able to be at, or live stream, the December 22nd Lessons and Carols service, and Christmas Cafe.

This Sunday is what music at Prince of Peace is all about, as I had funds available to hire a few musicians to enhance the talented string players we have at PoP. Thanks for supporting the music ministry. We heard the Bell of Peace and Chancel Choir do their magic under the direction of Kathy, heard Dan play one of his usually amazing Preludes and then had Debbie join him for another incredible Postlude. We also had readers of all ages help us experience a full Advent story. I am extremely fortunate to have so many people willing to help enhance worship all year long, but this Sunday becomes magical when everyone is brought together.

At Christmas Cafe we had the opportunity to hear some of the awesome talent of our younger members, too, one who invited her friends to join her. I’m glad we have a congregation that welcomes everyone having a chance to share their gifts with the rest of us, and I’m incredibly proud of these young members for having the courage to perform solos, duets, etc. at such a young age.

Music can enhance God’s word, and Prince of Peace has so many gifted people to share their gifts with the rest of us, so thank you to all I have the privilege to work with.
