Spanish-Speaking Church Relocates to Prince of Peace

Pastors Lilian & Juan Antonio Bermúdez

A covenant lease agreement has been signed with Centro Cristiana Bethel (CCB), a non-denominational faith community led by Pastors Juan Antonio & Lilian Bermúdez. Beginning Sunday, July 14, CCB is relocating their weekly worship and related gatherings to our church building. They have been gathering in a church facility at Rice & University shared by multiple foreign-language congregations. Their primary worship services will now be in our sanctuary on Sunday afternoons (visitors are welcome). They’ll use the sanctuary for rehearsals on Friday evenings and have occasional meetings, bible study and prayer sessions in our meeting rooms on Saturdays.

The congregation’s name translates to “Bethel Christian Center.” Bethel is Hebrew for “House of God.” The congregation includes members of multiple generations with historical connections throughout Central America and Mexico. We look forward to sharing our facility with another community of Christians eager to live out their faith by worshipping, studying, and sharing in fellowship with one another.
