For me, bravery is a form of strength. It is also extremely valuable because without it, we would succumb to our own fears. When we are brave, we have the ability to resist and overcome those fears. Bravery also allows us to make decisions when we are unsure of the outcome of those decisions. Those who lack bravery lack the ability to make decisions because they fear the negative repercussions of those decisions. This is especially true because bravery is needed most when there are difficult circumstances and we are uncertain.
There are times in all our lives when we must find the strength within ourselves to overcome difficult circumstances. But how do we obtain this strength? Who do we look to when we feel lost and alone? Psalm 27: 1-3 gives us a clear answer. The passage goes: “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance me to devour me, it is my enemies and foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.” For me, this means that when we feel the power of God, we have nothing to fear.
