One of the purposes of the Prince of Peace Befrienders is to show concern for those in the congregation who are grieving a death or loss, sick, homebound, or are experiencing a joyous event such as having a baby.
One way this has happened is through the Prayer Shawl Ministry which Donna Gramstad and others started many years ago. Donna has hosted the Prayer Shawl Knitters in her home the first Monday of the month providing knitting expertise, nummy desserts and wonderful hospitality. One will never know how many beautiful prayer shawls she knit, but close to 200 prayer shawls have been delivered to Prince of Peace members past and present and also some to a charity organization working with cancer patients.
Donna’s legacy will be “prayer shawls and hospitality”. Donna will be greatly missed as her sudden death on Dec. 18, 2023, was a huge shock to her family and friends.
