Day 5

Today we started out our day by splitting up into old dogs and youngins. The old dogs went to Poet’s Garden and then the youngins went to EarthLink. We weeded at Earthlinks for 1 hour. During the weeding, one of our chaperones, Bryce, banged his head on a metal pole and it made a huge bang sound and now he has a huge bump on his scalp. He then continued to drive us all around all day (great). We met up with the old dogs at the next service project, On the way, Bryce kept asking us trivia questions. These included what is the golden gate bridge known for? No comment…. At our next service project, Jeffco Action Center, we split up into 2 groups. Half the group helped with the canned food sorting and then the other group sorted clothes. Enna helped the Spanish-speaking customers with shopping and she spoke A LOT of Spanish (very proud). Addy helped stock the shelves and sort the donation of food. We worked there for 4 hours and then helped clean up the warehouse. Once back at the vans, we stopped at a Safeway and all changed clothes for dinner. The guy at the store called us the volleyball team? I don’t know how we look like a volleyball team but ok. Then we tried to find a parking spot in Denver for like 40 mins because Bryce can’t parallel park. I don’t know what is wrong with him. It’s probably because he bumped his head. We finally found a spot and then we had 30 minutes to kill before our reservation at Rio Grande. Dinner was delicious. Natalie ate all the ice out of our cups when we would finish our Dr. Peppers. After we ate (Thank you so much for paying for our dinner Warkentien/Ulsatad family) everything was closed so we went back to camp. Bryce kept getting lost and ended up driving around for 30 minutes until we finally got home. Then the other half of our group went to the store with Erika. Devotions and packing.

Duces,

Addy and Enna
