It might come as a surprise to you that Mental Health Awareness Month has been observed in the U.S. since 1949. And yet, we continue to struggle as a society to talk openly about mental health issues because of stigma, shame or embarrassment, or lack of knowledge on this critically important topic.

Prince of Peace seeks to be a welcoming place for ALL people, including those who are affected by mental illness. Together we need to fight stigma, provide support, and advocate for all who struggle with mental health. Please stop by the table in the narthex during the month of May for mental health resources. For questions or concerns, or if you might be interested in joining POP’s Mental Health Team, please reach out to Michael Stetzler or Debbie Jorgens.
