March 7, 2021 – March 14, 2021
Did you miss not having an auction with our Tanzania “Virtual Dinner” event last November? Now is your chance to put your bidding skills to good use!
We are planning an online silent auction the first week of March to support two great causes that impact our Tanzanian Companion Congregations, Bomalang’ombe and Vikongwa.
- Building projects – our companion congregations are growing and this increases the need for new church and preaching point buildings, and housing for evangelists. Building project funds have recently been used for electricity, plumbing, cement floors, and plastered walls in evangelist housing. Future needs include additional evangelist housing and buildings for new preaching points.
- Iringa Hope – Iringa Hope uses a unique model to offer micro-financing and agricultural financing, marketing, and training to small business owners and farmers in the Iringa area of Tanzania. The organization develops self-governed and self-sustaining member-owned and operated cooperative societies that help alleviate poverty and empower entrepreneurs. Bomalang’ombe is one of 36 Savings and Credit Cooperatives, and one of 26 Agricultural Cooperatives that are part of Iringa Hope.
Join us for an Adult Forum on Sunday, March 7 to learn more about Iringa Hope and the impact it is having in the Iringa area and in Bomalang’ombe.
The online silent auction will open at noon following the Adult Forum. Join us again on Sunday March 14 at 6:30 pm for a Zoom meeting to hear more stories from Bomalang’ombe and Vikongwa, and to count down to the close of the auction at 7:00 pm.
