This congregation has a long history of a Christmas celebration between worship services on our Lessons and Carols Sunday. This year we are calling it Christmas Café! Join us December 23, at 9:40 a.m.
A big thank you to Sarah Rawitzer for stepping forward to take the lead. Sarah, and her husband TJ who is a chef, will lead the food aspect of the morning. Barb Lyman is working with Sarah on advance planning. Pastor Betsy is coordinating decorating and activities for all ages.
You are invited to bring angels to be used as we decorate – please put your name on them and bring to church by Wednesday, December 19.
We will again have a photo booth that proved to be very popular last year. We are looking for volunteers to bring special cookies, help set up, help in the kitchen, help serve, help decorate, musicians to perform during Christmas Café and people to assist with the all ages activities.
The biggest change you may notice is the name: Christmas Café. This gives a nod to Christmas Tea and its traditions, while also expanding it to recognize the food and activities for people of all ages that are part of this congregational Christmas celebration.
Baby Shower for Jesus on Dec. 23 —The angels announced the birth of Baby Jesus and the Wisemen brought gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Gifts fit for a king but not very practical for parents caring for a newborn! As part of Christmas Café this year, we are having a Baby Shower for Jesus. You are invited to bring the following baby items that will be donated to Lutheran Social Service:
Diapers (all sizes)
Baby Wipes
Infant Formula
Bottles and Sippy Cups
Baby Wash
Baby Lotion
Hope to see you December 23!
