Is there Enough? | We live in a world where food is plentiful and yet some go hungry. Poverty, weather conditions, and supply chain issues contribute to hunger insecurity. We find hope in the story of Elijah and the widow who shares her last bits of bread.
Summer is a time for gathering and eating - picnics, grilling, roasting marshmallows, dining on an outdoor patio. We ask and give thanks to God for the food that nourishes us and for providing all our basic needs when we pray, “Give us today our daily bread.” In the coming weeks, we’ll explore food stories in scripture and how God’s work in us and in the world brings life in new ways every day.
