God will not forget us, even in the darkest of times. The light that is coming will be connected all the way back in time to the first king to bring salvation to God’s people.
From the very beginning, God has been in pursuit of creation’s well-being. And though God has high expectations for us, we’re also our own worst enemies. God refuses to leave us on our own. We have been engulfed by darkness into which God is ready to shine a powerful light. During this season of Advent, we’re called to adjust our eyes to the light that is breaking in and to the glory about to shine all around.
