After a long 9 hours in the car, we made it safely to Indianapolis. The group is running around outside our host church to burn off some energy before we go to bed early tonight. We have about another 9 hours of driving tomorrow before we reach Lutherock, our final destination for the week. We are anxiously awaiting a week of hard work with Lutheran Disaster Response Carolinas, where we will be cleaning up downed trees and debris from Hurricane Helene, which devastated the area in 2024. As service allows, we will be providing trip updates here.

Thank you all for your generosity, which made this trip possible for this wonderful group. We would not be here without the amazing support of our community.

Gracious God, thank you for accompanying our journey together today. Continue to be with us for the rest of our travels and ensure the safety of our group throughout the week. We pray to have our hearts and minds opened and to grow in relationship with You and one another. Grant us restful sleep and prepare us for the work you have set forth before us. In your name we pray. Amen.
