Xcel Energy will be using the Prince of Peace parking lot to access Central Park as they work to replace two power polls on line 0802. Xcel is using our property in an effort to limit the number of mature trees they would have to remove to complete their work.
Outline of their work:
- April 1 – 3: Tree Removal (completed)
- April 10 – 13: Traffic lane closure for mats and poles unloading
- April 17 – 20: North parking lot access restricted for construction and pole replacement
- April 24-26: Traffic lane closure for removal of mats
- See the above photo for more information on where they are accessing Central Park
Main impacts to PoP:
- There will be one-way traffic into the parking lot at the north entrance – Plan on using PoP’s south entrance for easy access
- Hearts & Minds (PoP’s downstairs renters) will use the west parking lot for parking during construction & access to Central Park will be limited to the southern park of PoP’s property
- Mats will be used to help protect PoP’s parking lot – this adds additional time to the project on both ends
If you have questions about the project please contact Kristin in the PoP office and she will be happy to pass along our contact at Xcel.
Thank you for your patience as Xcel completes their work.
