How Prince of Peace Feeds the Hungry

by PoP News | Jan 20, 2026 | 2025 Annual Report

by Anne Haugen

Have you noticed the grocery cart in the Narthex?  That is where the food contributions are collected and taken to the Keystone Community Services at 1200 University Ave.  Gary Peterson has delivered the food twice a month and recently Valerie Roy has made the deliveries.  Thank you to both.

In 2025 1,015 pounds of food has been delivered to Keystone.  In addition, during the March MN FoodShare Campaign 437 pounds of food was contributed to Keystone, plus $2,500 was donated to the Annual MN FoodShare Campaign to be divided among the 285 food shelves around the State of MN.  Milt Warkentien has organized concerts at Prince of Peace to benefit our local Keystone Food Shelf.  A huge THANK YOU to all for your food and money donations which help feed the hungry in Minnesota.
