The Ministry Support sphere of our mission ensures that the foundation of our ministry—our facilities, resources, and operations—remains strong, sustainable, and welcoming to all. This year, a key development in this area has been the formation of the new Property Management Team (PMT), created by our church council to provide focused attention on the care and improvement of our facilities and grounds.

Facilitated by Kristin Bloxham, our Office Administrator, the PMT brings together a rotating group of members who share an interest in how our properties are maintained and enhanced for future use. This collaborative group has been empowered to manage funds designated for property maintenance and renovation, allowing them to prioritize and oversee projects based on the needs identified during their regular meetings. This hands-on, flexible approach has already resulted in meaningful progress over the past year.

Among the projects completed or launched in 2024 are important electrical upgrades to our HVAC systems, improving energy efficiency and reliability; the installation of security cameras, increasing the safety of our property; and the near-finalization of our solar power generation project, this marks a significant step toward sustainable energy use and environmental stewardship at PoP.

These upgrades are not just about maintaining a functional facility—they are an investment in our mission to be a welcoming space for ministry and community engagement. Prince of Peace continues to host long-standing partnerships with the Roseville Schools ECFE program and several Girl and Boy Scout troops. Additionally, we now lease space to a variety of new tenants, including music teachers for lessons and recitals, two artist studios, a music therapist, and a Spanish-speaking congregation. By sharing our space with others, we extend our ministry beyond our congregation, offering resources to groups that enrich and serve our community.

Through the efforts of the PMT, we are living into our call to be good stewards of the blessings we have received. By maintaining and improving our facilities, we not only support our own ministry but also create opportunities to partner with others in ways that reflect God’s love and hospitality. Together, we are ensuring that our resources serve God’s mission today and into the future.
