Intentional Neighbors. Permanent Homes. Cultivated Places. Purposeful Work. Supportive Friends.
Since our last update, we have had several projects, activities and conversations that have brough forth excitement and project completion for our Sacred Settlement.
- Finishing touches are being added to our homes to make them more energy efficient and comfortable for our neighbors. Scott Vaillancourt took on the skirting project, and through collaboration with others, came up with a plan to add the skirting to the exterior of the homes. He along with volunteers have been working to complete the project before the snow flies.
- Pastor Brice Bloxham built storage for our fire wood, which is now located on the southside of the garden.
- The chickens started laying eggs.
- New easy chairs are in the Common House.
- Workshop has provided new offerings.
- Neighbors and Care Team held a “Friendsgiving.”
- Electrical has been updated on houses 1 & 2.
- Winterized the chicken coop.
- HELP WANTED: Putting together a bank of lockers for outside of our showers. If you are able to assist, please contact Alyssa.
During this month of gratitude, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the community for supporting and walking alongside Prince of Peace as we continue to participate in deep care for our neighbors. Thank you for giving of your time, skills and prayers. This continued work is blessed through all of your contributions.
