Day 2
To start we woke up early to load the vans and get started with our day. Grandpa Scott insisted that we must get Starbucks before our 5-hour drive. We stopped at a Sinclair gas station waiting for the other van to show up. We took pictures of a dinosaur while we waited only to find out that the other van already passed us and didn’t see the text that we stopped. But that’s okay because we passed them anyways:) Later, Julene eagerly wanted to get out of the van so as to soothe her sore leg from driving for 5 hours. We stretched our legs at Red Rocks and looked at the wonderful view. Then we left for our first service project to meet with Max from Brother’s Redevelopment to paint Ms. Williamson’s house. Lastly, we drove to the retreat center where we settled in and planned for the next day.
